The purpose of the research – as agrotourism is one of the main areas of the non-oil sector in the period of market relations, the main goal of this study is to determine the potential of agritourism in the Ganja-Gazakh economic region, as well as to identify directions for the effective use of available resources in the region.

The methodology of the research - is based on a systematic and comprehensive analysis, methodological approaches to assessing the resources of agritourism and important principles of world experience in this area, an analysis of the provisions set forth in the scientific works of various researchers.

The practical importance of the research - the results obtained in the study, the proposals put forward can be used to improve the mechanisms of tourism development and management, the preparation of measures for the development of agritourism.

The results of the research - consists of evaluating new approaches to the development and formation of agritourism, and developing appropriate recommendations and proposals.

The originality and scientific novelty of the research - the existing potentials of agro-tourism in the "Ganja-Gazakh" economic region are assessed on the basis of additives, author's approaches to the problem. The article assesses the trade and catering activities of the economic region, tourism services, the current state of banking services and its role in agritourism, and makes relevant proposals.
