The purpose of the research consists of the strategic importance of business processes in the diversification of research services. The strategic role and the problems of providing research services in the current period are analyzed for this purpose. Important aspects of the efficiency of business processes in the organization of research activities are studied. Special attention to ensuring a systematic approach to commercialization of the results of scientific processes and research is paid. The essence of state policy and financial security of research activity in Azerbaijan are analyzed. The activity of business processes in organizations and enterprises engaged in scientific and research work in the country is studied too. The multiplier influence of business processes on diversification of research services in the market economy is considered.

The methodology of the research consists of systematic and integrated approaches, relevant methodological aspects on strategic importance of business processes in diversification of research services.

The practical importance of the research: the results and material of the study can be used in the development of effective measures and required mechanisms to increase the efficiency and productivity of business processes in the diversification of research services in the country.

The results of the research: the results and the main conclusions can be used in the preparation of targeted government programs, strategies to ensure the effectiveness of business processes in diversifying research services in modern conditions.

The originality and scientific novelty of the research consists of a modern and creative approach to ensuring the productivity of research organizations in providing appropriate services through the activation of business processes. The need to develop and implement more effective mechanisms and tools for implementing the results of research works is justified. The level of organization of scientific services in the country, their financial security and the importance of improving the existing mechanisms based on international experience is analyzed. The need to increase allocations to the development of science and to expand research activities, diversify their services and apply more effective mechanisms of state support is studied. Reasoned proposals and a number of recommendations to identify more effective ways to diversify research services by increasing the productivity of business processes are given in the end of the article.
