The purpose of the research consists of problems and issues of strengthening investment mechanisms of agro-processing enterprises in the context of the strategic road map of Azerbaijan. The basic principles of activity and essence of investment mechanisms of agro-processing enterprises are investigated for this purpose. The role of agro-processing enterprises in the economy in the current period in accordance with the objectives of the strategic road map is given. The strategic importance of agro-processing enterprises in strengthening food security of the population of the country is analyzed too. The importance of strengthening investment mechanisms and financial security of effective organization of processing processes in the agrarian sphere is investigated. The need to optimize ways to solve problems of investment attractiveness of agro-processing enterprises is noted. Strategic approaches to strengthening investment mechanisms of processing enterprises in the face of increasing global financial shocks are given then.

The methodology of the research consists of systematic and complex approaches, current methodological aspects on problems and issues of strengthening investment mechanisms of agro-processing enterprises in the context of the strategic road map of Azerbaijan in accordance with the requirements of the modern period.

The practical importance of the research: the results and material of the study can be used in the preparation of complex measures, required mechanisms in strengthening the investment attractiveness of agro-processing enterprises in the context of the strategic road map of Azerbaijan.

The results of the research consist in the development of effective mechanisms and the preparation of comprehensive proposals, recommendations on problems and unresolved issues of strengthening investment mechanisms of agro-processing enterprises in the context of the strategic road map of Azerbaijan.

The originality and scientific novelty of the research consists of formation of more balanced and justified new approaches to strengthening of existing mechanisms of investment attractiveness of agro-enterprises according to goals of strategic road map of Azerbaijan. The importance of a systematic approach and optimization of principles in the processes of deepening the economic mechanisms of investment attractiveness and improving the strategy of investment activity of agribusiness enterprises is justified. The strategic role of formation and development of reliable financial and investment channels of agro-enterprises of the agricultural sector of the country for the long term is revealed. The need to develop and implement a balanced strategy of activities to strengthen the attraction of foreign investments is noted. The main directions of strengthening investment mechanisms of agro-processing enterprises in the context of global economic, financial and investment trends are given in the end of the article.
