DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR OF AZERBAIJAN

A B S T R A C T
The purpose of the research is to provide an analysis of the current state of Azerbaijan’s agricultural sector, assess the degree of implementation of digital technologies and their impact on the efficiency and sustainable development of agriculture. The study also aims to identify problems and barriers faced by agricultural enterprises on the path to digitalization and propose solutions to overcome them.
The methodology of the research – various analytical methods were used in the course of the study: comparative and systemic analysis, economic and statistical methods, logical generalization method and others.
The practical importance of the research – the conclusions and recommendations on the application of digital technologies in the agricultural sector proposed in the article can be used by companies, firms, and individual entrepreneurs, which will contribute to increasing the efficiency of agricultural production. In addition, the presented research will be useful for researchers and specialists in the field of agriculture, as well as for a wide range of people interested in the development of the agricultural sector and digital technologies in Azerbaijan.
The results of the research – it is specified and scientifically substantiated that digitalization affects the productivity, competitiveness and sustainability of agriculture, as well as how government policies and support contribute to the successful integration of digital technologies.
The originality and scientific novelty of the research – the implementation of digital technologies such as the Internet of Things, unmanned aerial vehicles, and land resource management systems, among others, is presented as an important step in understanding how digital technologies can transform Azerbaijan’s agricultural sector and contribute to its further development.
