The purpose of the research – is to study the nature of public procurement, which is the main element of modern, strategic procurement systems that include the achievement of economic, social and environmental goals. In particular, the study proposes the creation of an environmental management system, and also determines the positive impact of green public procurement on the country's economy.

The methodology of the research – the study used methods of analysis, synthesis and secondary data analysis on the nature and significance of green public procurement.

The practical importance of the research – the results of this study can be used for the analysis and implementation of green public procurement for scientists, financial institutions, economy and public sector stakeholders.
