The purpose of the research is to study the prospects for the development of entrepreneurship in the oil refining industry and assess its role in the development of the country's economy. For these purposes, the importance of the oil refining industry and the importance of developing entrepreneurship in this area are noted.

The methodology of the research - during the research, the most commonly used scientific methods in economic science, including analysis, synthesis, comparison, generali-zation, econometrics, as well as a complex and systematic approach, were used.

The practical importance of the research - the main results and proposals of the study can be used to determine the prospects for the development of entrepreneurship in the oil refining industry and in assessing their role.

The results of the research - consist of the development of entrepreneurship in the oil refining industry in Azerbaijan and the preparation of justified proposals and recommendations on the work to be done in this direction.

The originality and scientific novelty of the research - the current situation of the oil refining industry in the world and in Azerbaijan were analyzed. The research also highlights the importance of the SAB model to assess the role of entrepreneurship in the oil refining industry. The possibilities of developing entrepreneurship in the oil refining industry in Azerbaijan and the work to be done in this direction were proposed.
