THE ROLE OF TRANSPORT CORRIDORS IN SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT – THE WORLD EXPERIENCE OF QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS

The purpose of the research is to quantitatively assess the impact of transport infrastructure projects on the socio-economic development of countries based on the experience of various transport corridors.

The methodology of the research – quantitative analysis, comparative analysis, synthesis.

The practical importance of the research is that methods and standards used in international experience can be used in assessing the effectiveness of transport corridors that require large investments.

The results of the research - economic effects from various improvements in transport infrastructure are identified, factors are identified, as well as positive effects that support economic activity in transport corridors, examples of ineffective corridors are presented.

The originality and scientific novelty of the research - based on the analysis of studies presented in numerous sources, the results and forecasts for the quantitative assessment of transport corridors are systematized for the first time.
