SOME ISSUES RELATED TO THE REFLECTION OF FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS IN ACCOUNTING IN ACCORDANCE WITH IAS No. 38 “INTANGIBLE ASSETS”

The purpose of the research is that in accordance with IAS No. 38 “Intangible Assets”, the requirements for the recognition and evaluation of intangible assets are studied on the basis of regulatory legal acts and scientific and theoretical approaches adopted in Azerbaijan, and the state of application of the features of their reflection in accounting was considered.

The methodology of the research - based on the requirements of IAS No. 38 entitled “Intangible Assets”, methods such as synthesis, analysis and comparison were used when assessing financial transactions connected with the movement of intangible assets.

The practical importance of the research – due to the importance of intangible assets in the formation of financial resources of commercial organizations, an analysis was carried out on a more reliable and transparent reflection of these assets in the financial statements prepared by these organizations in accordance with the requirements of IAS No. 38 “Intangible Assets”.

The results of the research - in order to obtain high financial indicators calculated for the continuous implementation of activities in commercial organizations, studies were conducted to ensure an increase in the quality characteristics of financial information regarding intangible assets reflected in the financial statements in accordance with the requirements of IAS No. 38 “Intangible Assets”.

The originality and scientific novelty of the research - based on the regulations adopted in Azerbaijan and scientific and theoretical approaches regarding the disclosure of individual items specified in the International Financial Reporting Standard No. 38 entitled “Intangible Assets”, appropriate comments were given on the features of reflecting financial transactions in accounting.
