The purpose of the research – is to study the state of the Chinese economy during the Covid – 19 pandemic and the impact of global economic difficulties during the pandemic on the country's economy, as well as newly emerging trends in the Chinese economy in the second half of the year 2020 and 2021.

The methodology of the research –  consists of research conducted using economic literature, statistical databases and other sources.

The practical importance of the research – from the point of view of the fact that the features of the economic model of our country have similar features to the Chinese economic model, the results obtained in the study can be used to solve problems related to economic development during and after the pandemic.

The results of the research – the study is mainly aimed at identifying the development trend of the Chinese economy during the pandemic and economic policies applied to eliminate the negative consequences of the pandemic. As a result, the problems that China faced in the early and post-pandemic periods and the achievements in the economic sphere were identified. The dynamics of the development of trade and economic relations of the country with the countries of the world was also commented, the results are reflected in the graphs.

The originality and scientific novelty of the research – the study provides a thorough analysis of the identified problems, justifying the economic development and economic growth of China during the pandemic.
