System of state regulation of foreign trade (import-export) relations

In the market economy one of the most pressing challenges of the world is to organize the production of goods and services that can be distinguished by competitiveness in the world markets.

Due to the expansion of foreign trade relations, it is encouraging the expansion of measures to maximize the country specialization in the international labor market and commodity markets, the protection of the national economy from negative effects on the world trade system, and the strengthening of Azerbaijani producers - exporters on the world markets. Thus, one of the main features of the economic policy model of Azerbaijan Republic is firstly to expand and increase the range of export-oriented goods and services, as well as to optimize the balance between import and export, and import by reducing import operations.

It is no coincidence that the foreign trade balance of our country has been stable for many years. But it is not a secret that the acquisition of a positive balance is mainly related to the oil sector, export of oil and gas. If we take a closer look at the structure and balance of foreign trade turnover, it can be seen that the positive balance of import-export operations on consumer goods is not on the side of our country. Thus, imports are higher in the structure of import-export operations on consumer goods which is a negative reimbursement.

All of this increases the importance of the effectiveness of foreign trade activities, especially the improvement of the structure of export-import operations on consumer goods, the more optimally predictable, and the importance of increasing the economic efficiency of export-import transactions in general.
