SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR: EFFICIENT RESOURCE USE AND ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY

A B S T R A C T

The purpose of the research is to identify the main economic and institutional factors influencing sustainable development in the agricultural sector. Within the framework of the study, opportunities for improving resource efficiency, productivity, and economic effectiveness are analyzed. Additionally, the study explores directions for implementing effective management and government support mechanisms based on international experience.

The methodology of the research is based on a combination of theoretical and empirical approaches. Methods include literature review, comparative evaluation of statistical data, and analysis of international experience. A systematic analysis of agricultural development indicators was conducted, identifying existing problems and their potential solutions.

The practical importance of the research lies in the formulation of proposals for efficient resource use and productivity enhancement in agriculture. The results can be applied to improve agricultural policy, enhance the effectiveness of government support mechanisms, and guide decision-making. Furthermore, the findings contribute to increasing the economic efficiency of farm enterprises and agribusinesses.

The results of the research - the study indicates that sustainable development of the agricultural sector is directly linked to efficient resource management, adoption of innovative technologies, and effectiveness of government support mechanisms. Unequal resource use and low levels of innovation limit productivity growth and economic efficiency. Simultaneously, adapting international best practices to national conditions is crucial for enhancing competitiveness in the agricultural sector and strengthening food security.

The originality and scientific novelty of the research - the originality lies in the comprehensive analysis of the economic, social, and institutional factors influencing sustainable development in agriculture. Assessing resource efficiency, government support mechanisms, and innovative approaches as an integrated system represents scientific novelty. The proposed approaches for adapting international experience to national conditions provide new scientific insights for improving agricultural policy.
