The article gives a description of the risks faced by business entities in the process of investing in the innovative development of agro-industrial sectors, and studied the actual problems of their management.

The purpose of the research is to determine the possibilities for improving the risk management system in the investment process of innovative business in the agro-industrial sectors and to substantiate the directions for their implementation.

The methodology of the research – in the process of research, methods of observation, comparative analysis, scientific abstraction and logical generalization were used.

The practical importance of the research is that the substantiated provisions and the results obtained can be used in risk management in the development and implementation of investment projects for the development of innovative business in the agro-industrial sectors.

The results of the research – the environment of risk management in the investment process of innovative business in the agro-industrial sector was characterized, directions for improving management were identified.

The originality and scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that the possibilities for improving the risk management system that arise in the investment process of the innovative agro-industrial business have been identified, and the means and directions for their implementation have been substantiated.
